Visually SD was a stunning city to see--the harbor, the ships and of course the homeless dudes sleeping under every underpass. Our company in thier infinite wisdom had us to a teambuilding excercise through downtown SD.
It was 8.4 miles long in the pouring rain. It took 4 miles and an uphill hike past several underpass dwellers to convince our team that, most likely there would be no prizes so we should stop in the nearest establishment serving Coca Cola and wile away the afternoon waiting for the rain to pass then head back--but it finally happened.
2 small pizzas and several shots of Patron later we were ready for the walk back--strangely the weather seemed to have gotten warmer!
Sat night was more meetings followed by 80s coverband--Not bad--Blondie, GNR and the incomparable Tainted Love by Soft Cell.....goooooooooood times....not to mention this jewel that every 80s coverband pulls out toward the end of the set:
